Lasagna Soup

Perhaps summer is not the best time to post this recipe, but it's a good one to have on hand when you don't feel like cooking a huge meal. Although this is a meal served with crusty bread and maybe salad!
Thank you to my best friend Jan for passing this along. After she made it and her family loved it, I made it too. It actually tastes like lasagna.

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage if you prefer)
1 can tomato soup
4 cups of chicken broth
2 cups of water
2 cloves garlic
1 small can diced tomatoes
¼ cup onion, red and green pepper
1 ½ tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp pepper
2 cups noodles (rotini, bow ties, broken-up lasagna; whatever, but not big)

Directions:
In a large pot brown meat, drain fat. Add onions, peppers and sauté. Add broth, soup, water, garlic, tomatoes and seasoning.

Heat to a boil. Stir in pasta and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 mins. Adjust seasonings.
