Cream Cheese & Mushroom Roll-Ups

This recipe is from an old friend, Sheryl M. She used to make it for our girls weekends up north. Good times! It is a great finger food for a party.

Ingredients:
1 package 250g Cream Cheese
5 slices Bacon
1 Onion

small box Mushrooms
1 loaf White Sandwich Bread

Directions:
Fry bacon, cool, then crumble into lg. bowl. Chop up mushrooms and onion, fry in same pan with the butter added. When onions are soft, add the cream cheese and cook until it melts. Add this mixture to the bacon in the bowl, stir to make a paste.
Preheat oven to 350.Cut crusts from bread, roll slices with a rolling pin to flatten. Spread each slice with cheese mixture and roll up. Place slices on a cookie sheet and brush with melted butter.Bake in oven until bread rolls are golden brown. You may serve with sour cream for dipping if you desire. Makes about 20 (depending on size of bread loaf).
